Snail and Spider

Spider was happy on his leaf.
He liked to lay his long arms along the stem and stretch out as far as he could go.
He had a very unusual body.
It was not round and squishy and bulbous,
but rather slim and firm and triangular
with an excellent dark triangle marking on his back
just to emphasise the difference.

Snail was very little and quite new in the word.
Her shell was still a little transparent
and her body pale and glisteny.
Her tentacles were different to the other snails.
One of her tentacles was much smaller than the other,
but it did not matter,
it still could tell where the light came from.
Snail could still go everywhere she wanted to go.
...and her shadow was very entertaining and most unusual.
 One day snail met spider.
 "Hello there!"
Pleased to meet you.
Want to be friends?
 Sure!
So the two friends played and played and played,
and talked and talked and talked in their own way.
Snail slimed and spider spun a little silk..
and they had some quiet time to de-slime and de-silk
and then said good bye and headed to their own homes.
Snail glistened in the afternoon light,
and watched how her shadow became longer...
 and longer................
